Eden Property Group acquires Hull construction firm to build vertically integrated platform

East Yorkshire property firm Eden Property Group has acquired Hull-based construction company HU Developments, bringing construction capabilities fully in-house and advancing its goal of a vertically integrated property platform across the region. The deal adds 16 staff to Eden's operating model and delivers greater control over quality, timelines, programme management and cost efficiency.

Insider Media reported that the acquisition represents a significant step for Eden, founded in 2018 by Patrick Welsh, which specialises in title splitting residential blocks into individual units and now holds a portfolio of more than 68 properties and over 100 tenants.

HU Developments brings more than 25 years of construction experience to the group. The integration combines investment, refurbishment and construction under one roof for the first time in Eden's operating history.

Welsh, founder and managing director of Eden Property Group, said: "This acquisition is a major milestone for us.
