Gilbert-Ash opens new Dublin headquarters to expand Irish construction footprint
UK-based construction and fit-out contractor Gilbert-Ash has opened a new headquarters in Dublin to support its expanding portfolio of Irish construction projects.
The Dawson Street office was launched at an event showcasing the company’s growing capabilities and long-term commitment to the Irish market.
The new base complements existing offices in Belfast and London and supports activity across the UK, Ireland and international markets including Poland, Bahrain, China, Japan and Australia.
Its opening follows the completion of the 245-bedroom citizenM Hotel on Bride Street, marking the hospitality brand’s first project in Ireland.
Two additional hotel schemes for Premier Inn are underway, comprising a 215-bedroom development at Twilfit House on Jervis Street and a 229-bedroom project within the redevelopment of the former Clerys department store site.
The company has previously delivered notable buildings including the Giant’s Causeway Visitors Centre and Belfast’s Lyric Theatre.
Managing director Ray Hutchinson said the new headquarters demonstrates the firm’s commitment to Ireland, stating: “We are proud of our work in Ireland and our new headquarters, in the heart of Dublin, is a commitment from us to expanding our footprint across the country.”
He added: “Gilbert-Ash feels at home working in Ireland and we want to build a solid foundation from which to deliver future projects, especially across the hospitality, workspace and residential sectors.”
The company, which recently transitioned to employee ownership, reported pre-tax profits exceeding £6.8 million on turnover of more than £268 million.
