energystore has supplied its TLA insulation product to two Premier League stadium developments, at Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium and Fulham's Riverside Stand, a milestone that shows a Northern Irish manufacturer competing directly on major English stadium builds rather than just regional housing work.

energystore, headquartered in Holywood, County Down, has manufactured insulation systems for 50 years, producing EPS bead and thermal lightweight aggregate (TLA) products from facilities across Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

At Everton's near-53,000-seat Hill Dickinson Stadium, an estimated £800m (€936m) development at Bramley Moore Dock, energystore TLA reduced required screed thickness from 100mm to 50mm, cutting material use and lowering carbon impact by an estimated 21kg per square metre.

At Fulham's Craven Cottage, energystore TLA 250 was specified in the Riverside Stand redevelopment to meet stringent acoustic and compliance requirements within a complex, occupied stadium environment.

energystore's TLA+ variant, which uses sustainable bio-fuel sources during manufacturing to cut embodied carbon further, recently received KIWA accreditation, underlining the low-carbon positioning behind its stadium-grade products.

Winning specification on two Premier League stadium builds within a single construction season marks energystore's shift from a regional Northern Ireland insulation supplier toward a UK-wide, specification-grade manufacturer.

That shift lines up with a wider scale-up: energystore has acquired fellow Northern Ireland insulation firm WarmFill with backing from Danske Bank, alongside a majority stake in a Scottish specialist flooring contractor and a £2m commitment toward its own net zero plan, signalling a manufacturer funding growth through acquisition rather than organic capacity alone.

The stadium wins matter commercially because they demand more than thermal performance: acoustic compliance, fire rating and carbon reduction all had to be met simultaneously within an occupied, complex build environment, a specification bar that regional insulation suppliers rarely clear.

For the sector, manufacturers able to meet that combined specification are positioned to compete for high-value stadium and major sports infrastructure work well beyond housing insulation, at a time when English top-flight clubs are running stadium investment programmes worth hundreds of millions of pounds each.
