Project and programme management consultancy Mace Consult has completed a majority private equity investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives and separation from Mace Group, creating an independent business with more than 5,500 specialist professionals operating across six continents and generating close to $1bn (€927m) revenue in 2025.

Construction Business News reported that the transaction, first announced in July 2025, establishes Mace Consult as one of the largest independent project and programme consulting businesses globally, creating a platform for future growth. Led by chief executive Davendra Dabasia, the business will retain the Mace brand whilst scaling operations and growth internationally.

Dabasia said the partnership with Goldman Sachs Alternatives provides capital and strategic backing to scale operations, particularly in North America, and invest in digital tools that provide greater predictability, automation and control to set new standards for programme and project delivery.

He noted success is built on talent and dedication of people who retain specialist knowledge, with the investment offering meaningful career growth as the company expands globally.

Jose Barreto, partner within private equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, said the firm is excited to partner with Mace Consult into the next phase of its growth journey. He noted the company's entrepreneurial culture, focus on client outcomes and commitment to excellence set it apart in the industry.

Mace Consult has partnered with clients on major infrastructure programmes including the London 2012 Olympic Games and currently plays leading roles on the New Hospital Programme in the UK, Hudson Tunnel Project in New York, Metrolinx's GO Expansion program in Toronto and major programmes in Saudi Arabia including Diriyah and Qiddiya.
