OSSO and ProMinent partnership exceeds £2m as WTS20 water treatment system scales across UK construction

Fluid management specialist OSSO and metering technology manufacturer ProMinent UK and Ireland have announced their partnership has exceeded £2m in value, driven by the deployment of the WTS20, the first automated solids proportional dosing and telemetry-enabled water treatment system deployed at scale on UK construction projects. The milestone underlines the growing imperative for construction firms to meet tightening environmental discharge standards.

Water Magazine reported that more than 30 WTS20 units have been delivered through the collaboration, with the system now in active use on construction and infrastructure projects across the UK, including nine units on the country's largest infrastructure scheme.

The milestone coincides with intensifying regulatory scrutiny, with contractors facing growing pressure to demonstrate compliant discharges under the Environment Agency's EA2030 strategy, announced in July 2025 in response to rising concerns over pollution in rivers and groundwater.

Conventional wastewater treatment on construction sites requires manual input, leaving projects exposed to errors when conditions change rapidly, particularly during heavy rainfall. The WTS20 addresses this by combining ProMinent's dosing technology with automation and live telemetry, measuring solids continuously, adjusting dosing in real time and making performance data visible across the site without the need for additional tankering.

OSSO doubled its construction sector revenue in the financial year ending 2025, reflecting strong industry uptake.
